Sonar Appoints Jean Compeau as Chief Financial Officer and Eyal Ben David as Chief Legal Officer

Respective experiences of both leaders in scaling fast-growing technology companies to benefit Sonar in the expansion of its global footprint and impact

AUSTIN — March 6, 2025Sonar, the leader for integrated code quality and code security solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of two executives to its leadership team. Jean Compeau will join as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Eyal Ben David will take on the role of Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and General Counsel, effective immediately.

Jean Compeau brings over 30 years of extensive experience in finance and strategic business inside the technology industry, with deep expertise in scaling and leading high-growth companies. As the Deputy CFO of global cybersecurity leader Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW), she played a key role in scaling the company’s growth from $255M to $7B in revenue, including successfully executing and integrating over 25 acquisitions. Jean’s experience in transforming business models, capital allocation, tax planning, and digital transformation will be crucial as Sonar continues to expand and evolve.

Eyal Ben David, a seasoned legal executive, joins Sonar with a strong background in scaling global legal teams and advising on public company securities matters and corporate governance. Eyal previously spent 8 years as General Counsel at JFrog (NASDAQ: FROG), the global developer tools leader. JFrog helps to automate DevOps, SecOps, and IoT organizations, enabling continuous and fast software updates. At JFrog, he played a key role in helping to rapidly scale, navigate several acquisitions, and successfully IPO in 2020. His comprehensive experience in legal processes, intellectual property, and strategic transactions will help accelerate Sonar's next phase of growth.

Both Jean and Eyal will be relocating to Austin, Texas, as part of Sonar's rapidly expanding presence in this key tech hub which includes its CEO, Tariq Shaukat, and Chief People Officer, Clarissa O’Connell. Sonar’s growing Austin office complements its rapidly growing presence in Geneva, London, Bochum, and Singapore.

The news of Jean and Eyal’s arrival follows the recent expansion of Sonar’s Executive Leadership team.
