Geneva, Switzerland – December 4 – Sonar, the leading provider of code quality and security solutions, today announced that it was named a winner of the 2024 Rising Star Technology Partner of the Year for the Alps, a regional AWS award recognizing partners who play a key role helping customers drive innovation and build solutions on AWS.
AWS Regional Partner Awards recognize AWS’s Top Partners of the Year and Rising Star Partners of the Year, whose business models have embraced specialization, innovation, and collaboration over the past year. AWS Partner Awards recognize partners whose business models continue to evolve and thrive on AWS as they work with customers. Winners were selected based on objective criteria with results audited by third-party analyst firm, Canalys.
Sonar is a proud AWS partner, and being named a Rising Star is a testament to its growing collaboration and milestones achieved with AWS over the past year. Engaging with the cloud computing leader in a variety of ways, Sonar most recently joined the AWS ISV Accelerate Program, which requires a comprehensive evaluation approved by AWS and meeting all AWS standards including an in-depth architectural and security review. Sonar also tied its SaaS offering, SonarQube Cloud, more closely to AWS this year with its certification for the AWS Foundational Technical Review (FTR), availability on AWS Marketplace, and integration with Amazon CodeCatalyst.
As the amount of code written and applications built in the cloud increases, and the adoption of AI coding assistants grows, having the right processes in place for quality and security becomes even more critical to business. To utilize the cloud effectively and make the most of generative AI in coding, developer teams need strong DevOps processes, reporting, and metrics that prioritize code reliability, maintainability, and security. The partnership with AWS supports Sonar in its efforts to advance cloud-based development and enable developers to deliver quality, secure code.
“We are honored to be recognized as a Rising Star Technology Partner, validating our innovation and collaboration with AWS,” said Harry Wang, VP of Growth and New Ventures at Sonar. “We’ve furthered our business in the AWS ecosystem over the last year to solve code quality and security challenges by providing the right tools paired with the right approach. The acknowledgment from AWS points to the deep relationship we have. We look forward to continuing to extend and strengthen our partnership as we maintain our focus on enabling increased productivity and improved experience in software development directly where it starts, at the code level.”
“Our ROI in SonarQube Cloud kicked in from the first month. We were able to gain a better understanding of the quality of our code and start rolling out suitable adjustments for the engineering team,” said Furkan Yavuz, QA lead at Recognyte.
